November 7, 2015 The Lopez family headed out before dawn, as they aimed to hit the bass hard this weekend! As it was another glorious day on the water, which we are truly blessed for, there were too many boats to count. The Barnegat Inlet was completely full of fisherman as well as along Island Beach State Park. Trying to avoid the major boat traffic, the Miss Liane headed north and sailed farther then usual. Three Striped Bass were loaded in the fish box, and almost a fourth. In the last 100 yards, the bass managed to find his way back home, but the family was quite pleased with their catch. It was another exciting family memory, not to be forgotten.
October 31, 2015
The Striped Bass hunt has begun! With calm seas and bright skies, the Goldfarb crew sailed on the Miss Liane in search for the bass. Within two hours, being on the trolling, the anglers scurried to the cockpit. The reel began a light scream and line was peeling off. Unfortunately, the creature remains to be a mystery, as it was not brought aboard. It was concluded the bite was slow and extremely soft, as the bass were not striking the lures aggressively. Even though the crew returned to the harbor without physical possessions to show for it, the day was absolutely lovely and relaxing, as the sea air gave a refreshing feeling.
October 29, 2015

August 28, 2015
The Miss Liane headed offshore around quarter to 3 am with Scott Jones, Micheal Miller, and Neal Smoyer aboard. Once the crew had arrived in the canyon, the lines went in and we began to troll in the blue water. Several strikes hit during the morning but no fish were boated. Around 11am, there was a good knock-down that stayed on for several minutes, but it cut through the line. It was likely a wahoo because they have extremely large and sharp teeth that cut through monofiloment easily. Right before the Miss Liane started to head for home, the smallest rod located in the upstairs rod holder was hooked up to something big. As the reel was screaming, Captain Raymond grabbed the rod and brought it down. Micheal Miller began to fight the fish as the crew reeled up the rest of the rods. Just as Captain was putting his gloves on to leader the fish, the leader snapped and the estimated 40 pound class tuna was lost. Unfortunately, no fish were iced but it a great experience and opportunity out in the deep blue. Look forward to seeing this crew again!

"Gorgeous fishing calls for offshore fishing around here." With 2 foot seas and light and variable winds, the Miss Liane headed out to several inshore canyons with father and son, Andrew and Maxwell Goldman. The crew headed out nice and early as they departed at 3 am and arrived at their destination by 6:15. The spread was set up and the day began with great signs of life. Two hump backs whales were spotted and tuna began to be marked at 50 and 60 feet. Even though they didn't rise, the Miss Liane continued her way though the deep blue. Nearly eight lobster pots were passed nice and tight, but no Mahi were held beneath them. Around 8 that morning, there was a solid knockdown, but couldn't manage to bring him to the boat. Young Maxwell Goldman just got a glimpse of offshore fishing as one of the flat lines went off. He boated a bluefish, but it was a spectacular experience for an amateur angler like himself. Throughout the day, the crew came across a huge sea turtle, school of surfaced skip-jack, lots of pods of dolphin, and a stray shark. There is so much life out there! You never know what you may see! It was a fabulous beginners' trip for these two eager fisherman! The Miss Liane will be going out to the canyons in the next several weeks to get in on some of the yellow fin action too ;)
August 12, 2015
Miss Fran, head of the Holiday Berkeley Fishing and Social Club, came on board the Miss Liane at 7 o'clock sharp with her smiles and stories. She was joined by another member, Bill, and another local fisherman Bob Hass. It was a beautiful day to be out on the water. The sky was crystal clear and the ocean was flat and glass :) The crew caught a variety of species off Island Beach State Park, but unfortunately no keepers were boated. Recently the decrease in keepers has been connected to the work done by the scallop boats dragging along the coast. One of our anglers informed us, it was one of the most enjoyable fishing trips he has ever had! Look forward to seeing you all on the water soon!
August 9, 2015

Father and son, Tony and Hugo Simoes, from AVH Demolition joined Captain Raymond and First Mate Liane for their first offshore trip of 2015! The Miss Liane Team left the dock at 12:30 Friday night sharp as they headed for the canyons. They were reminded quite shortly that their are no street lights out on the water. Captain Brian from Being Naughty led the way out through the dark hours of the morning ;) By 5:00 o'clock Saturday morning sharp the lines were in the water and within 45 minutes two small Yellow Fin tuna were boated. Although they were just short of 27 inches, they were a heck of a fight! By noon, the crew had the nice Mahi in the vessel and unfortunately lost a gorgeous twenty plus mahi due to gaff failure. First Mate Liane saw a White Marlin come into the spread and smack two lures but failed to be hooked. Shortly before the Miss Liane wrapped up for the day, the longrigger line began to scream as the line was shredding off the line. It took both "Lit'" First Mate Liane and 28 year old Hugo Simoes to take the rod out of the holder and bring to the back of the boat. Unfortunately within 2 to 3 minutes, the tuna pulled the hook. At least the crew hooked into a nice sized fish. With smooth seas all the way home, the Miss Liane returned to port around 6 that evening. Truly thank the Lord for a safe journey and productive trip! We owe it all to Him! Captain Raymond and First Mate Liane look forward to running offshore again in the next several weeks as well do some Fluke fishing at several inshore wrecks and reefs! Give us a call at 908-319-6751:)

Did anyone shout birthday surprise? Supermodel Ashley Hass surprised her father, Bob, with a birthday fishing trip! What a thoughtful daughter! With calm seas and sunny skies, it made a quite lovely day out on the water! Although the bite started out slow, many shorts were caught and Mr. Hass was the only angler who boated a keeper Fluke! With picture perfect weather and fluke fun, it was a birthday blast! The Miss Liane Crew looks forward to having these two one board again soon!

Mid-week Marvels! With clear skies and calm seas, Zach Latchford, Crystal Emmett, and Todd Shertzer joined the Miss Liane crew as they headed out for Summer Flounder and Sea Bass. Three 2 to 4 pound Bluefish were caught right outside Barnegat Inlet at dawn. Within four hours, three keeper Fluke and one jumbo Sea Bass were caught. Memorial Day Weekend had arrived! With much success last year on Memorial Day Weekend (as we had caught five Striped Bass-none being less than twenty nine pounds), the Miss Liane crew was excited to get on the water and "catch em' up"! With calm seas and sunny skies, A.V.H. Demolition join Captain Raymond and First Mate Liane for another eventful trip! After trolling from seven in the morning till three in the afternoon, the Miss Liane headed back to the dock. "Lock-jaw" was the term First Mate Liane used for why the Stripers were inactive in feeding. Many bait balls and schools of bunker were found. Hugo from A.V.H. Demolition even foul hooked a bunker on the bunker spoon because the school (of bunker) was so thick. "The bait was there, but the bass just weren't hungry." Many pods of porpoises were found as well off of Seaside Heights. Although the Miss Liane didn't return to the marina with a full box, the crew enjoyed a beautiful scenic day on the water :)

Due to poor weather and sea conditions, all charters were rescheduled.

April showers bring whooper Stripers! With water temperatures up to 56.4 degrees off Island Beach State park this weekend, the Striped Bass bite began! Aboard the Miss Liane this beautiful day was Bob Stewart, a local resident of Lacey Township. Soft and gentle bites caused a loss in two bass unfortunately, but the Miss Liane certainly didn't come home empty handed. Mr. Stewart boated a monster 42 inch Striper! "You should have seen this thing," said Captain Raymond Lopez.
With openings next weekend, it's not too late to call us at 908-319-6751 to book your Striped Bass and/or Bluefish charter! The Miss Liane Crew looks forward to seeing all you fishermen soon!

Back to back charters! We’re on the hunt again! If the phone keeps ringin’, and the rods keep bendin’, then we’re going fishin’! Heavy, dense fog delayed today’s trip, but it didn’t keep us from doing what we love to do! Neither did it keep the courageous Souder group, John, Christopher, and Stephanie, from having a great day of fishing. Our light tackle trolling spread produced four to five bluefish in the bay, as it did yesterday! Once again, we headed outside in search for the Striped Bass. Through the fog and waves, we caught another five bluefish in the seven to twelve class. Another successful trip on our belt as the Miss Liane brought six nice-sized blues back to the dock! The Striped Bass bite is heating up and the water temperatures are rising and the baits are accumulating. Miss Liane still has available spots for the upcoming Sunday, May 17th, so contact us by phone or email. Hope to see y’all soon on the water!

It was a BLUEFISH BONAnZA! Step father and son, Karl and Pauli, joined the Miss Liane crew for a full day of fishing, excitement, and nonstop action! The day began by trolling a light spread of lures in Barnegat Bay, and resulted in quickly catching four medium sized bluefish. The Miss Liane headed outside through the dense fog on the hunt for the Striped Bass. Although no bass were catch, schools of bunker were found off Island Beach State Park on the way back to dock. The splashes of the Striped Bass and Blues rolling through the pods of bunker caught the attention of Skipper Pauli and, the Miss Liane quickly spun around and dropped her lines in. Within minutes, the first double headed was on. For the next two hours, we hammered bluefish from eight to fourteen pounds. Unfortunately, there were no Striped Bass caught because these eager bluefish were more aggressive. The lines were never empty for long. There was nonstop action! As four o’clock rolled around, the Miss Liane began to head in with fourteen nice seized bluefish in the box! Sounds like a good dinner to me ;) Give Captain Raymond and First Mate Liane a call at 908-319-6751! Don’t wait…you don’t want to miss the Spring Striper Run!
